Facts for Prayer!!!

Dear beloved friends of FOCUS,

I am very delighted to welcome you to this 6th Edition of the Focus Prayer Page!! We are in particular so happy that most of you have given us feedback that you read through the prayer page and you appreciate our efforts and for that, we thank you for the encouragement and we give Glory to God for your wonderful support and participation in the FOCUS Ministry events.

Strategic Planning Workshop
On the 8th to 10th March 2007, FOCUS organized a strategic planning workshop at Namirembe (NAREC). This process marked a major step in developing a FOCUS strategic plan for the coming five or so years. We appreciate the participants for the wisdom that they shared from which the following key priority areas were identified; Ownership, Fund Development, Partnerships and Relevance of the Ministry. A select committee of five was also elected to spearhead the process of producing the strategic plan document.

Please Pray for:

• More Funding / Financial support to the Ministry.
• Ownership of the Ministry by Students and Associates.
• Increased Partnerships and Networking.
• Contextually relevant Ministry.
• The Committee as they draft the Final Document on Strategic Planning.

Very special thanks to Calisto Odede who facilitated the workshop successfully with a lot of skill and creativity; you are highly appreciated for your selfless support to the Ministry.

Associates’ Event (Nyama Choma)
On the 11th March 2007, a team of Kampala associates organized an associates’ event at the FOCUS head office, it was equally a great success as one hundred on 120 people attended.

Please Pray for:

• The Revival of the Kampala Associates.
• The Generational Gap between the Old and young associates to be bridged.
• The next Associates’ Event as the committee decides on the official date of thenext meeting.

Thanks go out to the Kampala Associates’ Team for organizing the Fantastic events that are geared towards the Revival of the Associates, please keep up with the same spirit!

FOCUS Training Department
Please pray for:

• The upcoming MISSIONS CAMP that is due to take place on 5th to 9th April 2007,the Total Budget for the Camp is 6,809,500 Uganda Shillings.

FOCUS Communication Department

Please pray for:

• The planning and organization process for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and book 29th April 2007.
